Remember the good old days when winter meant playtime? Slide right back into the groove at Helen Diller Playground
in San Francisco’s Dolores Park. The park opened in 2012 and features a couple of good-time slides that are a fun dip for kids and adults alike. There’s a 45-foot-long wavy version, and a second slide is wide enough for riding side by side (or hand in hand). A bonus: the park also offers one of the best panoramas of downtown San Francisco. Glory day!
TIP: Dolores Park Cafe (501 Dolores St.) is a nice place to grab fresh pressed hot apple cider or a flavorful smoothie. The cafe also has a daily happy hour, so if the weather’s good grab a patio seat and enjoy a glass of wine.
Helen Diller Playground is located in the middle of Mission Dolores Park, near the intersection of Dolores St. and 19th St. Dog-friendly!
