Want to do it Did it

One of the best things about a wet winter: spring-loaded waterfalls! And which place has the best H2-flows? Redding—aka the gateway to waterfalls, including the top waterfall in America! Recently named among the Top 25 Most Beautiful Waterfalls in North America by Huffington Post, the waterfall at McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park is stunning, and accessible! Closer to Redding, Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is home to 4 amazing gushers! Visit now or go for Waterfall Week (April 16–24), when rangers will be leading special hikes to the falls. A bonus: Trails at Whiskeytown are dog-friendly! Ready for the triple threat? McCloud Falls won’t disappoint, with one hiking trail leading you to its three tiers of waterfalls: Lower, Middle, and Upper. Bonus swimming holes: Take a refreshing dip in the chilled pools waiting at the bases of Lower Falls and Middle Falls. Redding, Set, Flow!
