Part street festival and part dance party on wheels, Sunday Streets is quintessential San Francisco community, culture, and creativity. This free event sees no cars thanks to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) and the city government. Each month, Sunday Streets rolls through a different part of town. This weekend it’s in the Mission, taking over Valencia, Harrison, and 24th streets. Break out the banana seat and tasseled handlebars, skate dance to “Thriller,” or simply cruise the car-free streets, exploring shops and restaurants en route. No matter what, you’ll be celebrating the city’s eclectic beat. Wear your Sunday best!
The next Sunday Streets is June 20, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For a map of the route and more information visit sundaystreetssf.com. Dog-friendly!
