Where do you go for great views? As high as possible! Strawberry Hill is the highest point in Golden Gate Park, a manmade island in the middle of Stow Lake, connected by two bridges. At the hill’s 430-foot apex, surprise views peak north towards Mount Tam and the Golden Gate Bridge. Make a loop of it by heading west down the trail, circling the inner side of Stow Lake—one of the most peaceful spots in the city. Watch the rowboats glide by, get zen in the Chinese peace pagoda on the shore, or just admire Huntington Falls tumbling into the lake. Sweet as a strawberry.
