The Most Waterfall Time of the Year!
Redding Area Spring Waterfalls
Hey, we’ve got a waterfall idea for you. Actually, we’ve got nearly 50 waterfall ideas for you—all located in one fantastic place: the Redding area! Redding’s not only the sunniest city in California—averaging more than 300 days of sunshine per year— this Shasta-Cascade region is so filled with waterfalls they actually have a Waterfall Week (April 21–29).
Some of the major waterfalls to check out include Potem Falls, Burney Falls, and three McCloud River Falls, as well as Hatchet Creek (aka Lion Slide Falls).
Up for a challenge? Do Redding’s Whiskeytown Waterfall Challenge during Waterfall Week: Hike to the four waterfalls in Whiskeytown National Recreation Area and get a special gift at the visitor center.
