Get Coasting

San Luis Obispo Spring Getaway 2017

Rain or shine, there’s one getaway that’s good all the time. San Luis Obispo (SLO) is just a few hours from both San Francisco and Los Angeles, and it’s the liveliest hub for easy access to outdoor and indoor adventures alike. In springtime, this Central Coast escape is famous for its Five Ws:

Warming up in nearby hot springs (soak ’em in!).

Whale watching along SLO’s Pacific-hugging coast (March is prime time!).

Waterfalls!

Wine country that’s made its mark on the global map (sip pinots and chardonnays in Edna Valley).

Wildflowers along the Irish Hills and ocean bluffs (some hiking trails leave right from town!).

Pssst … we also like SLO’s famous Five Bs: beaches, biking trails (car free!), romantic B&Bs, chic boutique stays, and craft beers! Enjoy a do-it-yourself beer tour, including small-batch productions like the Wild Ales at Libertine, the all-American beers at Tap It, and the German-style Weissbier and gluten-free IPA at the smallest brewery on the Central Coast, Bang the Drum. Local brewery shuttles offer transportation!
